I like to build positive relationships with each dog that enters the salon. I prefer a minimal restraint approach, I would rather your dog was willing to be groomed and left with a wagging tail than unnecessarily stressed.
Meet Kelly
From a young age I was always passionate about animals, dogs especially. In 2010 I was delighted to be able to volunteer at my local kennels . In 2012 I began assisting in the grooming salon, over the years I gained valuable grooming experience and skills. Since then I have undergone further training, canine first aid courses, asian fusion courses, dog behavioural courses, fear free training and much more.
My dream was always to have my own salon and in 2021 Boops & Barks was established allowing me to fulfil that childhood dream. Business has been booming since the doors opened and I am so grateful for the long standing clients who keep the dream alive. It is truly an honour to have such fantastic relationships with dog(s) and owner.
Treat quality control is a speciality of his and one in which he takes great pride in. Rodney likes to bring nervous dogs toys for emotional support whilst they are in the salon or have a play, if they are so inclined to take their mind of any fears they may have.
In his free time he can be found Munro bagging , competing in hoopers and dog shows. Rodney is now crufts qualified for life. He recently was awarded best of breed at a championship show whilst gaining his first challenge certificate.
